I need to reserve my capacity for clients who see a tremendous return on investment, and my pricing seems to high for your comfort and my terms seem to risky for you. And that creates a problem for me. I can’t afford to have clients where this is cutting too close to the bone on their budget. I’ve quoted you a tremendously preferred rate, this is about half of what I normally charge, and it’s not suiting you.
        • To answer your questions, these are my terms, I gave you a range. These options are within the range. My terms are front-loaded because I am tying up my capacity and turning other people away, so I don’t do monthly or hourly or other variable rates.

      • So as you know, I’ve had to be a patient advocate for my yoga teacher, Steve, and I realize that I need to have a reciprocal relationship for myself if I’m ever in that position.
      • I don’t have anyone who has access to my medical insurance number, who can contact my family members, or who can put me in touch with the correct patient advocates to advocate on my behalf.
      • I wanted to ask you if you’d be willing to do that for me. You wouldn’t need to be my advocate, but you would just need to connect me with an advocate, and coordinate some communication with my family members in case of emergency or hospitalization.
      • I use a company called Everplans which contains all my information. I just need to assign deputies in case of an emergency.
      • I know we haven’t known each other for so long, but my close New York friends are out of the country for the Spring, and I wanted to make sure that I have this information in place should something happen to me especially in the next few months.
      • I know you live with your boyfriend, but I am also happy to do this for you reciprocally (and I encourage you to try Everplans yourself). Especially since your BF is Lebanese, he may not know how to navigate American health care and I am happy to be a proxy for you.
      • The steps would involve the following:
      • 1. I would assign you as my deputy. You would get a code which would give you access to my information in case of an emergency, and tell you how to reach my mother, and give you my medical insurance information.
      • 2. It also instructs you on how to contact a patient advocate on my behalf who can manage my care.
      • Let me know if you’d be willing to do that for me. I know you have a boyfriend and family in this country, but I can always be an advocate for you and offer you a reciprocal relationship.
